International Activity

  The international contacts of KSAI are extending year by year. KSAI has established and keeps in contact with international services of educational and scientific institutes of Canada, USA, Great Britain, Germany, China, Mongolia and Serbia. Scientists and students of the institute participate in international programs, exhibitions, seminars and conferences.
  In March 2004 KemGSHI participated in a project TACIS TEMPUS «Modernization of agricultural education: the development of distance education at university.
  In 2005, Kemerovo State Agricultural Institute has initiated a scientific and educational cooperation with universities in Canada. Currently KSAI has 3 Canadian partners: the University of Manitoba, University of Guelph and Trent University.


  In 2005, KSAI was included into a consortium of Kuzbass universities for the project “Introduction of Technology for Biological Revegetation of Waste of Mining Production”, financed by an international program of the Institute for Sustainable Communities in USA.
  Since 2005, the Department of Foreign Languages KSAI is member of the National Association of English Teachers with the support of the U.S. Government and participates in all activities of the Association, conducted in English. In 2006, the department staff has won a grant for participation in the International Conference on methods of teaching English. In the 2006-07 academic year, language assistant from the U.S. Stephanie Funderburg was working at the department.
  During 2005-2007, scientists of KSAI visited Canada four times. In June 2006, the arrival of a Canadian scientist took place.
  In 2006, teachers of the department have won two grants for research work and for scientific training in the universities of Germany, from 1 to 3 months (Universit Hohenheim, Universit Bayreuth) due to program German Academic Exchange Service DAAD.
  In March 2007, delegation of the Mongolian State Agricultural University, headed by the rector visited KSAI. As a result of the visit agreement to continue cooperation to share faculty, students and graduate students was signed. Experts are being trained for Mongolia for several years. Ministry of Agriculture allocated budget places for students from Mongolia, studying in KSAI.
  In May 2007 the Institute hosted ambassadors of the Department of Education of Administration of the city of Chongqing, China.


  In June 2007, ambassadors of KSAI visited South-West University of China and signed a memorandum of intent.
  In September 2007 the assistant of rector and head of Office of International Relations of the South-West University of China visited KSAI. The signing of a cooperation agreement took place.
  In June 2009, a group of teachers and students of KSAI visited the University Shiheztsy (China) and Xinjiang Agricultural University (China).
  In June 2009, students of KSAI were teaching internship at the Mongolian State Agricultural University in the city of Ulan Bator.
  In June 2009, the ambassador of KSAI visited Serbia due to invitation of Chairman of the Fund of Additional Training for Young Agricultural Workers of Serbia, Mrs. Borka Vuchich. As a result, cooperation agreement was signed. Also cooperation agreements with the Faculty of Agriculture of University of Novi Sad (Serbia) and with the University of Belgrade were signed.
  In January 2010 KSAI delegation headed by the rector took part in the annual international agricultural exhibition "Green Week" held in Berlin.
